What is Art?
Yesterday me and my wife went on a trip (Thanks to my parents for watchin the kids...) to a place we really love. While she drove the car, I look at her pictures and thought a bit about art...
By definition art has to be artifiical, ergo manmade, so nature per se can´t be considered as art. (Maybe we could discuss If one can think of god as an artist...).
Furthermore art has something we call "disinterested pleasure", which means - simplyfied - that it has no purpose beside delighting our senses....
btw: What is with the market for art (or art on steroids aka NFTs ^^)? If I want to invest in art to make money, is this without interest (and would the piece of art lose it´s "disinterested plesure" by gaining a purpose - makin money???)
