The Great #BlueHeron is one #bird I see almost everywhere I go near a body of water. It's one of my favorites, because of it's size, beauty and grace in flight. When you see it wading in the shallows looking for fish it seems so docile then when it takes off opening their massive wings, they can make you feel quite small. I'll never get enough shots of this graceful giant and will grab snaps whenever I see them. They are quite timid though and will rarely let you get too close. That was the case here and made it very difficult to get a nice clean shot of him. I would just get ready and have him in my sight when he'd take off and glide down the shoreline well out of my range. I'd catch up again and he'd do it again and again. In the end I did get quite a few shots, but none were very clear.
