Our province is the "Rice Granary" or the "Rice Capital" of the Philippines. Growing up I saw how farmers survive the WET, LONG, and HOT farming seasons. How farmers become one with mother nature and not against it. How by merely watching birds and clouds movements or staring at the stars in the sky at night can tell if its going to be a good sunny day tomorrow or if its going to rain. How patience is important as they care for the rice fields in order to produce a staple food for every Filipinos table.
