From my interview with Tarik, excerpt on Israel's West Bank incursion:

"I think the initial aim in Gaza at the beginning last October was complete ethnic cleansing, and they said it at the time very clearly. There were diplomatic initiatives that showed they were trying to create the channels to do this, they were trying to talk to Egypt so that they could expel the whole population into Egypt. They were thinking about ways of doing it by sea.

I think the initial aim was ethnic cleansing, by genocide. They were committing a genocide, and the genocide was supposed to have an effect and drive all the others away, by the atrocities themselves, and by showing them that this place where you live, we will not leave a stone standing, we will make it uninhabitable.

The initial Israeli plan didn't work. They also can't defeat Hamas.

Hamas has defended itself in the Gaza Strip with an enormous amount of courage and bravery. I think Hamas will enter history similarly as the Warsaw resistance fighters in 1944. I know that a lot of people will be shocked by this comparison, but this is I think how history will look back on this, because Hamas is actually a legitimate resistance organization.

The West Bank incursion, its almost like they want to make a point that Hezbollah can't stop them from doing that. Because by invading the west bank, they're acting closer to Hezbollah, geographically to a certain extent. ...Maybe its an attempt to humiliate the opposition, to assert what they call the deterrence. I personally don't think it will work.

The problem is, Israel until now can go wherever it wants to go and commit horrific crimes, and nobody actually stops it. Hamas of course is to an extent stopping them, but they can't stop Israel as such. Yemen has done its very best and inflicted damage on Israel economically, and on its western accomplices. And Yemen is perfectly in compliance with the 1948 genocide convention. Yemen is, the West is not..."
