Trump assassination attempt shows there are parts of the deep state desperate enough to start civil war

As more details about last week’s assassination attempt have come out, things have become apparent that can help us better understand how the imperial state’s counterinsurgency works. Things that show how this state, in its efforts to wage war on its own people, so often substitutes direct police or military violence with proxy attacks. The purpose of this tactic is to give the state plausible deniability, leaving its targets too confused and under-informed to effectively respond. That’s how counter-gangs work: by obscuring their own connection to the state. But when we pay attention to how this story has progressed, we can get a better sense of how the counter-gangs operate. And therefore how to make the country’s pro-democratic, anti-imperialist forces overcome our ruling institutions.
I frame the situation in these terms, even though the politician who this attack targeted wasn’t an anti-imperialist, because had the attack succeeded it would have been used to crush dissent and expand the wars. If Trump had been assassinated, the neocons would have consolidated their power, likely installing Nikki Haley so that they could have a more effective imperialist in the White House. Haley’s GOP would have exploited Trump’s death to suppress those who oppose the war machine, like how the Bush White House did after 9/11. And the narrative managers would have fostered the fascist voices that are adjacent to Trump, turning conservative politics further to the right. This would have made the anti-woke psyop maximally effective, with Trump’s martyrdom being used to escalate both the wars abroad and the domestic culture wars.
I don’t believe all factions of the ruling class and the deep state wanted to go through with this plan, though, because the predominant wing of our political and media elites have been trying to minimize the attack’s importance. One side has indeed been using this event to further the anti-woke psyop, while another has been hoping for our society to forget about it. Though both the anti-woke and woke wing of finance capital want to further the counterinsurgency, not all of the deep state has acted like it would have known what to do in the event of Trump’s death. This is because the “deep state” isn’t a monolith, but a series of bureaucratic networks that can diverge. Even if the neocons had gotten their fascist coup, this would have created more conflicts within the ruling class. That the assassination failed means those inter-elite tensions may not reach their most extreme potential form, and means we have more time to prepare for when the crackdown reaches its next level.
What kinds of tactics are our class enemies going to use to bring the counterinsurgency towards that stage? Given what we’ve recently seen, it’s going to involve violence that’s committed by actors who (appear to be) independent from the state. The modern versions of “antifa,” with their heavy federal infiltration and their domination by left anti-communists, are one place where these attacks could come from. But as the Trump rally attack showed, these ideologically driven agents of the state aren’t the only potential proxies. The violence can also be carried out by actors that are driven by nihilistic ultraviolence.
This is where it becomes important to examine exactly how this kind of proxy violence works, and how the assassination attempt was consistent with these para-state warfare methods. The evidence that Thomas Matthew Crooks was enabled by the national security state is there for all to see, which as the Korean-based People’s Democracy Party has concluded means we can infer that the deep state was involved:
The attempted assassination of Trump is no coincidence. It is reasonable to assume that the “invisible hand,” namely the unseen forces, were involved. Trump’s bodyguards belong to the Secret Service, a federal agency. The Secret Service is part of the Department of Homeland Security and is closely affiliated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It makes no sense that the roof of the building closest to the rally was not included in the security coverage, and that a Trump supporter saw the shooter just before the incident and called police, but was ignored. By killing the gunman on the spot after the shooting, the Secret Service actually covered up the truth and the de facto power behind the incident. It is a historically revealed fact that transnational capital and the financial-industrial-military complex in the US is the de facto power of US politics and power behind the throne…US Presidents Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy were famously assassinated for pushing for government-issued money and breaking away from the Federal Reserve System, which was controlled by finance capital.
The PDP also observes that “The attempt to assassinate Trump by the unseen forces, which is an unelected power and a fascist power, is a reflection of the war maniac to make World War 3 enter full swing.” This is true. But there’s an additional layer to the story, one that makes the mania within our ruling class more capable of bringing about imperialism’s downfall. While there’s evidence that the FBI believes killing Trump is the right choice, there are also factions of the deep state that are comfortable with Trump winning. Namely the pro-MAGA elements of our military/intelligence complex, and the Democrats who don’t care if Biden loses. Christopher Wray—who’s been the FBI’s director since Trump appointed him in 2017–has shown signs that he’s not loyal to MAGA. He’s fulfilled the Democratic Party’s wishes to investigate Trump, while neglecting to investigate Hunter Biden. Which places Wray in the wing of American conservatism that wishes Trump would go away, namely the old-guard Bush/Romney neocon wing.
This provocation by the GOP neocons hasn’t just brought mass awareness about these “unseen forces,” but has also opened up a gigantic new front within the conflict between these forces. The parts of the deep state that like Trump, or that don’t think assassination is the right tactic, now have a reason to seriously worry about the GOP neocons and whoever has helped them with this plot. And because we’re talking about a conflict between insiders, whatever foul play the perpetrators used isn’t going to be easy to conceal from the other factions. Unless the CIA and the FBI were unified in this plot, which is quite unlikely given their history of conflict, we could see the CIA retaliate. This was the boldest of bold things that the FBI could have done; if Trump hadn’t survived, right now we would be seeing a serious effort by the country’s militias to seize territory from the federal government. The United States would no longer be able to exist as we know it. That’s not a price everyone within the ruling class is willing to pay, and right now there are likely many powerful people with a lot of anger towards the ones who tried to do this.
As these competing forces within the power structure intensify their warfare, both against the people and against each other, we can expect them to carry out plots which parallel this one. Plots where the feds identify ordinary civilians who have potential to commit violent acts, and then at the least make sure nobody stops them from acting. Because there’s not yet direct evidence that the feds manipulated Crooks into doing this, I’m not going to conclusively say this is what happened. But when you look at his story, you can see how plausible that is.
Crooks, a very young man who had Google searched about Major Depressive Disorder shortly prior to the attack, was somebody that liked to use secretive online communications tools. He had encrypted platforms, ones that would have been perfect for the feds to get in contact with him while not leaving a paper trail. And if this is what they were doing, it would have mirrored what the FBI is verified to regularly do, that being seek out mentally ill or disabled people so they can groom them into wanting to commit terrorism.
If the truth behind this story is the way it looks, then we know that the “lone wolves” and counter-gangs the deep state uses don’t need to be motivated by any coherent political ideology. They just need to be psychologically vulnerable to ultraviolent manipulations. There’s evidence against Crooks having been a leftist, since he was a registered Republican who once donated to a liberal PAC only after getting scammed into it. And there isn’t so far evidence that Crooks was a neo-Nazi. So this appears to be a Travis Bickle-type case, where an angry man tried to kill a politician simply because he felt like it. (Or perhaps was convinced to feel like it.) If somebody like this can be compelled to turn to ultraviolence, then the state’s counter-gangs—both rightist and leftist—are even easier to activate. If we prepare to defend our revolutionary cadres from these menaces, then we’ll have a major chance of outmaneuvering our enemies, who are increasingly unable to find unity among themselves.
