His Word Above His Name!
His Word Above His Name!
PLATFORM FOR SHARING EXPERIENCES!

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (Psa 51: 17)

One of the BEST gift Man can ever give to GOD is a BROKEN HEART. For,in it there's no more pride or self dependence.

It's sad that many associate brokeness with weakness and failure. This makes the affected, especially those in the melancholic temperament group,to sulk and grieve inside, while falsely smiling with pooled effort outside.

This group is for them. Having been a victim of pains and hurts for longer than I can remember, I HAVE A *LITTLE AUTHORITY* TO TELL US THAT GOD IS AN EXPERT IN FIXING BROKEN HEARTS!

This is why HE said;
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psa 30: 5)

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (Psa 127: 1)

No one else can help us. So, I invite you...done and out.. written off.. don't whimper..IT ISN'T OVER.
SAY IT OUT NOW,FREELY. OPEN THE BOTTLE AND SPILL IT ALL OUT...OUR CHRIST JESUS IS MORE THAN ABLE TO DO THE NEEDFUL.

May the GOOD LORD meet us each,at the point of our needs,Amen!

????STILL ON LOT'S WIFE AND LOOKING BACK...
    =======================
*REASONS WHY WE OFTEN LOOK BACK !* [PART 2 B]
    """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
I hope I didn't keep us waiting today????!

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Gen 19: 26)

    Remember Lot’s wife.
    (Luk 17: 32)

We parted with the promise of identifying some reasons why we find ourselves looking back oftentimes...you know,I said,*LOOKING BACK TAKES LESS THAN A SECOND* This usually happens when we *abandon watching*, either as a result of LUST or MAKE BELIEVE CONFIDENCE...over confidence.

WITHOUT ARGUMENT,*LOOKING BACK* HAS COSTED A LOT OF US,OUR GOD DESIGNATED LIVES!
LET'S CONSIDER SOME REASONS THAT CAN CAUSE OUR LOOKING BACK.

    Okay, here's the thing????;

????Looking back because we’re familiar with sin rather than salvation.

    Familiarity,they say breeds contempt.
We are by default, more at home in our *comfort zone* than uncharted territory. It’s more likely for us to look back when we are unfamiliar with where God is leading us, just like with Lot’s wife.
She is used in seeing and practicing sin in their city every single day. Sin was their point of reference. Sin was their *normal*. It was their usual way of responding to life. She lived her whole life in that city. Can we blame her? She was familiar with it, and she thinks she fits perfectly. So getting out of it definitely seems uncanny.

It's the same with us today...we ain't any different...the only difference may be our level of individual response. That lifestyle we have been used to,becomes our regular object of temptation... smoking, alcoholism, reveling, fornicating and adultery, mode of dressing and communication, yes,we will be longing to hangout with peers and friends at our regular joints...yes, generally, those sins that tied us down, that we are fleeing from.

????Looking back because we are familiar with our past rather than our present.

This is like the point above, but really,it isn't.

It's one thing for God to be our present Help, and another thing for us to be a prisoner of our past.

This hits me home. I have had a painful childhood, a rough and dark teens, and an even more complicated young adulthood (even now, I'm yet a victim). Going through physical, emotional, and mental trauma created an isolated and numb heart. I know some of you can relate... THROUGH MY SHARED PERSONAL EXPERIENCES SO FAR, A LOT OF US WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN.

When I make decisions, my frame of reference is what I have experienced. If I realise that I have had bad experiences by choosing this or that, I avoid going for it. It seems to make me isolated and totally risk-free. But,am I happy? No. Am I sad? Also no. I just settle for what I feel is familiar and with that, I think I keep myself safe. I think. But no.

My past has been both a nightmare and a suffering. It wasn’t good to me, especially with my mental health. It is what has actually spurted me into this my emotionally depressive condition I frequently relapsed into . So it explains what I’ve been going through right now and why I’m inclined to write.

????Looking back because we are familiar with ourselves rather than God Himself.

Let’s be honest. We want what we want, when we want it. We decide and act for our own intentions and desires. I get that. This is our life.

    And that’s the dangerous part.

Whether we like it or not, we may not know ourselves more than God. He sees and knows everything because He created you and me. Therefore, it is impossible for us to know ourselves better in any case. Even though you are a very self-aware person, human knowledge is still foolishness to God.

We were used to be the captain of our souls. We were used to steer the ship of our own future and set the sails for the desires of our hearts. Everything is in our hands and it feels good... but sometimes, it feels bad. We NEVER seem to agree with ourselves that we are limited.

The list goes on and on,but all the others are encapsulated in these three. Right. Next,we are going to look more deeply into the costs and implications of looking back.
May the Good Lord God Almighty NEVER EVER takes His Eyes off us,???? Amen ????!

    ????????????????????????????????????????
    STILL ON LOT'S WIFE...
    *WHAT LUST CAN DENY US*
    [PART TWO]
    ????????????????????????????????????????
Welcome back, my beloved brethren ????!

I'm sorry for taking this long to return. My *soon* has become like forever.

Without being defensive, it's just that due to life's mysteries, I mostly find myself relapsing into a* World of my own,yet without walls of my own!*
With the hope of my being forgiven by you, let's hit it hard.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Gen 19: 26)

    Remember Lot’s wife.
    (Luk 17: 32)

    Genesis 19:17 says????

When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
When the angels were rushing to get Lot and his family out the city, Lot asked the husbands of his daughters to run but they thought it was only a joke. To save time, THE ANGELS SEIZED THE HANDS OF LOT AND HIS WIFE AND HIS DAUGHTERS AND THEY BROUGHT THEM SAFELY OUT OF THE CITY.

We parted with an admonition not to be found where we know God wouldn't want us to be... either indulging in sin,or deriving pleasure from those therein(Rom.1:32)

You see, depending on the level of our relationship with Him,God always gives us information and directions that are meant to protect us from harm's way...but more often than not,we flout those lifesaving hints and facts. Yet ,when the harm comes,we cry *why me*

Even at times, out of Love for His Masterpiece,God takes the initiative to*seize*our hand to save us, as we read above. Still in many instances, the uncurbed default nature of Man,will yet resist. Lot's wife was already out of danger by God's providence, but she resisted,by *LOOKING BACK* This is happening to all of us today,in our different capacities...so,stop pointing fingers at Lot's wife! *IT TAKES LESS THAN A SECOND TO LOOK BACK!*

But must we continue to look back by resisting God's Purpose for us? Brethren, the consequences of looking back,is better Imagined than experienced ????!
The cost for Lot's wife, was her life...it didn't end there,it denied the family a motherly guidance that resulted in the abomination (incest) that plagued the family via her wanton daughters.

When God saves, we have this tendency to look back. Why? I’m certain we do it for different reasons, but it also
means different consequences for us...we shall be considering first, some of the reasons why we often *look back*

Remain blessed ???? in Christ Jesus Name Amen ????????????!

  • *CAN A CHRISTIAN DRINK ALCOHOL?*

When a European Airline was initially launched, an educated Christian gentleman was traveling in the first class section.
An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink, but the man politely refused.
The air hostess returned but this time brought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However, the Christian man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol.
The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers. He questioned, “Is there something wrong with our service? Please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.”
The man replied, “I am a Christian and I do not drink alcohol? The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the Christian proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot first. The manager stated, “How can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty! And if he drinks there are all chances for the plane to crash”.
The Christian passenger with tears in his eyes, replied, *“I am a Christian and I am ALWAYS on duty in order to protect my salvation and if I Drink Alcohol I will crash my whole life here and hereafter. I AM 100% ON DUTY!"*
Maybe yours might not be an alcohol, it may be casual sex, battling with how to control your anger, Pride, profane and vain babblings, your dressing , your attitude towards people and finally not sharing the Word.
Do you know that souls are dying because of those reckless behaviours of yours?
    *WE ARE 100% ON DUTY*

  • (4) If I die, I die... really brave words...but she meant it. She wasn't for anything ready to exchange her Almighty God for any piece of wood...Peter also wanted to do same, but cowed out...but Esther went through without backing off! Aye,she didn't throw tantrums not yelled for revenge,at this point. The only solution now is, following God all the way!

    (5) God was moved by their total reliance on HIM...this was one of God's favourite FOOD...total and complete dependance on HIM! HE never accepts the number 2 position... it's either number 1, or forget it.
Thus,God was moved and yet lovingly,HE sent Haman a warning to back off,but either he was already deaf(the proverbial fly), or disdained the warning. God resurrected a forgotten issue,Ahasuerus the king couldn't sleep anymore...how can you hope for sleep, when you are waging a war against God's child? The king used Haman to honour Mordecai...an honour he has been long coveting and shrewdly working for,was given to a foreign slave... Mordecai!

(6)Yet, Mordecai came back to the gate. He didn't raise the dust...how can I clothed in the king's most costliest apparel, rode on the king's horse come back to sit at the gate again...I have to see the king on this! Mordecai was like dumb... humbly allowing God to play the game HIS OWN WAY! Today,we take God's place in our decision making process, and try to bend God to our will. Most of us pastors are always in a hurry, and only remember God when things go wrong! Mordecai would've non of that. He patiently waited and reaped a hundred fold.

(7)Zeresh, Haman's wife recognized God's warning sign to her husband...you will definitely fail fighting against a Jew. But she talked her husband into how to kill Mordecai, now she was the same one mocking... little did she know she will equally be swept away by the Lord's East Wind steadily gathering momentum!

Conclusively,I believe this account is s very popular one. Inspite of already being censored for death in and by their adversaries,God turned the story and rewrote it to glory, and HE took the Glory.

How did it come about, what led to the ultimate VICTORY? Because two just Jews living in an unjust society, refused to cave in to pressures from the family, community,work/business place and even the church of God.
They refused to be a part of the evil that has overtaken the world. They reminded themselves that they're different, God's peculiar children and by effect, stayed true to that God...even in the face of severe provocations!

Food For Thought; Many of us always want to set the rules...dictate the tune, has it favoured us yet? Many have boxed or thrown away their Bibles...has that helped us. It makes us to be more miserable.Joy is always found in standing on God's side... remember Joseph, Daniel and his three friends...the prophets and the apostles etc,God never ever abandoned them, but instead lifted them up above equals.

You can do it,I can do it. The moment you and I give the signal, the Lord Himself will take over. All HE wants from us is, for us to open the door and let Him into our hearts...our lives, it's not too late yet,Rev.3:20!

May God bless these words in our hearts and enable us to be doers, that these words may not stand against us on judgement day,in Christ Jesus Mighty Name,I pray,Amen!!!

  • ANTIDOTE TO AN UNJUST WORLD!
    ""''""""''''""""'""""'""'"""'''"""""""""'''"""""'''""""""''""''''"""''""'''""
Mordecai and Esther, just like Daniel and friends never let down their guard,in their lush surroundings. Instead, they held on even more tightly to their Faith in God. They deliberately saw the HAND of GOD in their lives.
    (1) Esther,a foreign slave girl became a queen in a strange land( a position she might never had attain,if she had pulled away from God, for allowing her to be a slave. Even,in the midst of the paganistic palace, that is actually the custodian of the idolatrous practices, she never forgot whom she was.( You may want to contrast her to our so-called Christian politicians)!.

(2)Of course, Mordecai was her guardian, and he led her by example.( Unlike our pastors today...do as I say,not as I do)! He didn't press Esther to pressurize the king for a cabinet position...he yet sat at the gate. And when unholy cravings from Haman(because he refused to bow to him), began to weigh heavily on him,he didn't use his position as the Queen's uncle to implement revenge. Esther wasn't even aware. When he uncovered a * coup attempt* against the king, and it was confirmed,he wasn't rewarded or promoted. Yet did he not complain nor cried * Injustice"! He remained at the gate, absolutely believing what he did,was an unsolicited obligation, and thus expected no reward from it. Contrast with us today, the entire electronic, print and social media platforms will be congested with the perceived ingratitude of the king!

Only when he heard about Haman's plot against the Jews, did he involve Esther. Again,he realized whom he was,so, didn't take the law into his hands, rather he went back to God in faith, likewise Esther. Here's a foolproof evidence that the Queen did never sold her faith, for her approved maids(all from the heathen's paradise, much the same way as Naomi and Ruth), they all prayed and fasted with her.

    (3) Esther didn't make a play with her position, assuming *airs*, as a queen. She respected the king, knowing fully well he was having fun elsewhere. Even at that, she wooed the king to her side, never pushed or compelled the king by forcing herself on him. Aware of man's savage nature, she went to God with her uncle.Did God fail them, NO!

FAITH AS AN ANTIDOTE TO AN UNJUST WORLD!
    (Est.1:1-,Hab,2:4,Rom.1:27,Gal.3:11,Heb.10:38)
    ********************************************
Welcome back, and may God grant you more Grace to SAY NO in any area of your life that's yet to submit,IJN, Amen!

From the Old to the New Testament, FAITH has been, and will always be God's uncompromising STANCE. That is,if you must worship Him,it has to be in FAITH or forget it!

"The just shall live by FAITH",is a common theme throughout the Scriptures. Faith is a Supernatural phenomenon in the Bible. Infact, it's the foundation and bedrock of Christianity.

But,just how easy is it, for the JUST to live by FAITH in an UNJUST WORLD? This is our focus in this study, for without FAITH,we can't please GOD! Scriptures say,to everyone is dished some measure of faith, but can that *measure* sustain us in a world so drawn away from its Creator?

Hebrews 11, gives us a very lucid context of what FAITH is...(paraphrased),simply acting like it's so, even when it isn't,in order that it might be so, just because God said so. FAITH takes you beyond the limit of your logic, reasoning and senses. It is believing that God is telling the TRUTH!

Now, to practice faith as a believer in a world pitted against God,the OWNER of FAITH,is certainly a test of will. This is the situation Esther and Mordecai found themselves in Shushan. Just like our today, it's a battle between those who know God and those who don't.

Everyday in our lives as believers,we are always under pressure to compromise our faith in various ways and means! In the community, schools, offices, churches, business world, and even in the family circle,we are denied our rights just to provoke our faith in God.While some of these pressures aren't quite intentional,a greater percentage of them are premeditated... that's they are done to us to incite us to observe if we will breach our beliefs as christians.

Look at the circumstances that led to Esther's queenship, and the attendant implications. In Shushan, Esther and her uncle Mordecai were living as slaves in a foreign land.God gave them up to their enemies as a consequence of their disobedience. They were the just living by faith in an unjust environment. But you know what, like most of us would have done, they never forgot whom they were(God's covenanted children),and lived as such, even in a heathen land!

As you may have observed as a Practicing Believer, not a "shelf believer", the paradise of the pagans is always fraught with troubles. The proud King was overdrunk by his immense empire, and to prove it, ordered his queen,Vatshi to come over and display her beauty...this is the sorts of reveling vanities always present in paganistic gatherings. An equally vain and proud Vatshi disobeyed the prideful king.

The cloud thickened and darkened. How dare she? Men are now going to be humiliated and subdued by their wives. That was the interpretation. And so,Esther who knew God was thrusted into the convocation of those who know not God.How did she fare? She compromised in the palace? No, not at all!
THAT I MAY KNOW HIM(Phil.3:10)! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Theme: The Call To Righteousness(1Cor.15:34)! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> FAITH AS AN ANTIDOTE TO AN UNJUST WORLD! • HEAVENLY FATHER, too often I have tried to deal with the problems in my own life, instead of flying to Your throne of grace for mercy and help in time of need. I pray that my faith may increase and my prayer life may reflect the continuous communion that the LORD JESUS enjoyed with You, in His earthly life. I pray that I may learn to approach You in confidence and in reverence. Help me to pray into Your will and purpose. In JESUS’ name I pray, AMEN.

  • A WORD FOR GOD'S SHEPHERDS (ISA.56:10-12)
    ????????????????????????????????????????
Dear Sirs and Ma'ams, a happy New month for all ????

    Right!
What's your driving passion for those physical projects...your true aim, objective, and motives for your embarking on those huge projects...*wonder auditoriums*, hospitals, schools, estates, institute of higher education, OPENING OF MORE CHURCH BRANCHES with set targets from their pastors, etc? Yes, God's shepherds are involved in so many innumerable investments and schemes to raise more funds...even the myriad of programmes hosted daily, weekly and monthly... what's your driving force? Is it really for salvation of souls? You are the only one who can answer the question, just as I answer mine...we can DECEIVE others, even INCLUDING ourselves, but can we deceive God?(Gal.6:7)

Why is the generality of God's workforce more interested in PHYSICAL PROJECTS THAN SPIRITUAL PROJECTS?

Why are we more concerned with what Men think of us, INSTEAD of GOD,whose mandate we are seeking to fulfil? Why are we more interested in FAME,POWER(WORLDLY) AND RANKINGS BY WORLDLY ORGANISATIONS?

Is that really what we were called to do? Do we yet realize we are starving God's children of God's True position on how we should relate with the world? And we think God will tell us *Weldone, faithful servant?*
When HE clearly told us *Heaven rolls out Its musical instruments to rejoice for just one saved soul?* Not rejoicing because of wealth ratings by Forbes, not rejoicing because of *medals awarded* by countries for inflated and unnecessarily published philanthropic deeds*,not rejoicing because of how we rub shoulders with politicians, nor because of how our members rever us... GOD'S WORD EXPLICITLY STATES THAT, HEAVEN ONLY REJOICES WHEN A SINNER REPENTS AND IS SAVED!

Aside miracles, magic, exorcism, prophecies of death to the enemy, and magic or instantaneous wealth, and advice of investment for tomorrow, and acrobatics, including continuous relating of how*{YOU} MOVE YOUR OWN hOLY sPIRIT to perform*wonders* in the various programmes you have ministered,in and outside the country,etc,...yes,aside from all these, how many genuine souls have been converted to Christ Jesus, and are faithfully worshipping God now...I don't mean the ones worshipping you(signs and wonders)!
If truly, your(our) gifts are from God,is what we're doing the purpose of the gifts...did God ask us to sell our gifts to raise money for HIS WORK? IS THE WORK OUR OWN OR GOD'S? IF YES,ARE WE DOING IT GOD'S WAY?

    LISTEN,DEAR BRETHREN;
*IF GOD WAS INTERESTED IN PHYSICAL PROJECTS ABOVE THE WELFARE OF HIS CHILDREN, SOLOMON'S TEMPLE WOULD STILL BE STANDING TODAY,IN ALL ITS MAGNIFICENCE!

IF GOD WAS SATISFIED WITH THE WILFUL DISOBEDIENCE OF HIS WORD, ISRAEL WOULD NEVER EVER HAD GONE INTO CAPTIVITY BY THOSE THEY DISDAIN AND TERMED* UNCIRCUMCISED!*

    God is angry, terribly and dangerously angry with us, custodians of His Word and even those of us who patronise them;

    14. Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. 15. Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. 16. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. (Jer 14: 14-16)

    8. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord God. 9. And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God. 10. Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter : (Eze 13: 8-10)

It isn't too late to backtrack and make amends(Rev.3:20)

May His Grace and Mercy see us through,???????? Amen!
